Summer

Today (May 12) marks an important day--for me, anyway. You see, today, exactly one year ago, I began my current job-babysitting. It's really incredible how far I've come--along with the family that I babysit. To think, one year ago, I was working with a baby, who, today, is almost a toddler.

Exactly one year ago today I was getting ready to go on a band trip. I had joined the Jazz Band in the second semester, playing bass (upright). I have now 'down-graded' to an electric bass, which I don't practice because I'm a little tired of playing my Jazz Band music (which is all I have to practice). It was a great trip, seeing as I went with one of my closest friends.

This summer is going to be semi-exciting. School ends June 5, and then the month after that, I have a summer biology class I'm taking. This will give me extra space my senior year to do as I please, which is really nice. Then, I'm going to EFY with another close friend, one of her friends, and my brother. Then, I'm going to Girl's Camp. I'm not too excited to go, but supposedly, I'll have an 'impact' on the girls. First of all, nobody talks to me, except a few girls, but they have their friends, and so, where am I in this picture? Exactly. I am the... outcast. At least, that's how I feel.

But I'm actually kind of excited for the next school year. I know, what a dork. But hey! I'm taking an internship, plus some exciting classes, so hopefully, it'll be a good year. Plus, I'll meet new people, and I won't be the bottom of the 'food chain' anymore! YAY!!!!

So what are you guys looking forward to this summer?

  1. wow - i didnt think about EFY for keenan until it was too late to register. I already told him he is going next year.

oh - and I wish I was going to girls camp!!! Boo-hoo! that would be fun!

this summer we are driving to carson city, nv for my family reunion. i think it will just be all of my sisters (5 of us) and our families. The two boys's wives never seem to make our reunions a priority unless we go *There* (which we do every other time)... personally, i think it's only once every other year - for pete's sake, make an effort. AND my mom even gives every family money to help with the expense. Oh well - not everyone can be the perfect child like me! lol! :)
