So last night, I went to a baseball game. It was really fun. Yeah, especially when the drunk bimbos decided to show up. There were about 6 or 7 of them behind us, and then two rows in front of us, there were four: three girls and one of the girl's husband. They each had like, three drinks. Me and my friend, Mindless Banterer, were talking about how we were worried that WHICH ONE OF THEM IS DRIVING? She wasn't sure she wanted to drive home with those 'girls' on the road. And then they WAY started acting drunk. One of them got up to check out the baseball player's.... 'goods', shall we say. Mindless Banterer said, "She almost spilled her beer (which was full) all over herself." Oh my goodness. And then later she was yelling, "I HAVE TO PEE, NOW!!!"
It was fun otherwise. We were laughing so hard at some of the looks that some nearby girls were giving us. At one point, Mindless Banterer's 15-year-old son (she's a single mom of three, don't worry) called to ask her something. She picks up her phone and talks to him for a while. "I understand you're a 15-year-old boy, so I trust you. Do you homework. Or something productive." She said. There's a pause, and then she says, "No porn." The girl sitting directly in front of Mindless Banterer gave her a look, like "Are you SERIOUS?!" We were laughing SO. HARD.
It was great. Good times, good times. Anyway, I have to answer a question of my friend's. She asked me, "Cassie, what's your favorite food?" My first response: "JELLY BEANS!!!" She gave me a disapproving look (She knows I'm addicted to candy), and said, "Cassie, that's not food. I mean nutritional food, the kind that's good for you." "BORING!" I remarked, and we both laughed.
I proceeded to tell her that my grandmother makes these GREAT potatoes, but I don't know the name. My grandmother slices potatoes, then 'spices' them with whatever she uses, and then kind of 'stacks' them in a ceramic bowl (one that you put in the oven). She then puts egg all over it, and then puts some shredded cheese on top. She (my friend) told me, "That sounds like scalloped potatoes." I shrugged.
My mom makes some AWESOME mashed potatoes, too. We get them almost every Sunday (I know, I already mentioned this). My grandma makes bread, too. It's really good. Hmm...
I like macaroni and cheese for a quick fix. Spaghetti is good. Lasagna is good, too, but we rarely get it. My grandma also makes this 'spanish spaghetti'. It's the spaghetti noodles, but she puts mayonnaise, and I think she puts tomato sauce. On top, there are ham cubes, and slices of boiled eggs. Also very good.
Momma Bear and my grandma are obsessed with doing home-made food, and I'm not complaining. They do an AWESOME job.
i have had your grandma's "egg-potatoes with cheese." they are GOOD! but different than scalloped... hmmm I shall see if i can find out what they are called.
ReplyDeleteThe game was fun... just glad we won!
