HAPPY EASTER!!! Today has been a good day. Well, this weekend has been great, actually. Thursday, we left town (my grandmother stayed to watch the house as well as the pets, how sweet of her!). We left just... SPONTANEOUSLY!!! It was wonderful, to leave and not have anything to do, noothing to really worry about. We swam, and ate, and just had a BALL!! Where we were staying, it actually turned out that some kids from Washington County (That's St. George area) were staying Friday to Saturday, and they were pretty much all boys!
I'm a little shy around guys (except my knuckle-headed brothers), so I tried avoiding them at all costs. When they walked by the pool area, I sunk down so only my head was above the water. Of course, it was a little harder if they had actually COME in the pool. It was a little weird.
On Friday, we swam in the morning, got out and my parents took us to Thanksgiving Point. It was really cool. We saw a 3-D undersea movie, and I was so scared something was going to jump out at us. Then, these little kids kept banging on the back of our chairs. Me and Pingu (the youngest) had to scoot down two seats, where nobody was sitting behind the chairs. He eventually fell asleep (IT WAS 45 MINUTES LONG!!! HOW DOES ANYONE FALL ASLEEP?!). He was very tired, and I guess his face was hurting and his legs were killing him, too. Probably from all that swimming.
Then, we had to go eat dinner. It was terrible, trying to find somewhere to eat. It's Friday Night, which equals Date Night, Family Night, Couples Night... We wanted to try a restaurant called Ethel's and Ethan's, a sandwich shop plus a smoothie shop. The person at the hotel desk said everyone LOVED their burgers, so we wanted to go and try it. Holy Crud, it was PACKED! We gave up, and looked somewhere else. After much searching, we ended up going to Applebee's. They have very good fries (in case you didn't know). Pingu was still a little miserable, but he did perk up a little. We went back to the hotel, and guess what?! He was much happier, especially when we got back in the pool.
So we came home today, and it wasn't that long of a ride, but when you have a Mom who likes to drive 85 MPH in a 65 MPH (I'm a new driver), it's pretty crazy. It's good to be home, though, 'cause I miss my rabbit, and I'm not even sure I finished all my homework. But now (sniff) Spring Break is over. Back to school. BORING!
i wish i got to have a spring break from work (without having to use up *MY* vacation time, and of course still manage to get paid!)
ReplyDeleteoh well - glad you had a great time!
