Boys

Well, I have been asked many a-time about boys. Even before I turned 16, it was 'Boys' and 'driving'. So, I guess I'll address the 'boy' topic.

I'm very shy. Some people (my friends) will look at me, and say, "What?! You? SHY?!" and then proceed to laugh at my face. Many, though, will look at me, and say "Yup. Way shy." Especially if you talked to kids at school. So, due to my shyness, it's hard for me to reach out and talk to guys, even if I just want to be friends. Sometimes, I strike out, and can be very mean. (I speak from experience)

I actually have managed to have guy friends, although most of them were in elementary, and even then, I had a crush on one of them. See, the most recent one I made was actually in 9th grade, and we're still sort of/kind of/maybe friends. We say 'hello' in the halls... sometimes.

Anyway.

But yes, I do love guys, I'm not gay. There are a couple of guys at school, most of them older than I am, but there's at least one that I don't know his name, and the others, for the sake of publicity, I'm not going to name. But they're all cute in their own way.

It could be their eyes, or the way they talk, and how they themselves act around girls. Some of them it's because I have to learn to like them. I've met jerks, and I refuse to even THINK about them, because who wants to date a jerk? So, up to this point in time (almost six months since I've turned 16), I have not had a date. And that's OK. Truth be told, I am kind of scared of dating. I feel that guys don't want to befriend me because... OK, so I don't have a reason, but that's not the point.

Soooooo... that's my story. I don't mind not having been asked on a date, or to a high school dance. It really doesn't matter to me. Anyhoo...
